Alberto Savinio

Pseudonym of the writer, painter and musician Andrea De Chirico (Athens 1891 - Rome 1952), brother of Giorgio. In Paris (where he stayed several times, also frequenting the surrealists) he published the dramatic poem Le chants de la mi-mort (1914) in the magazine Les soirées de Paris. He later collaborated with La Voce and La Ronda, but his taste tending towards the metaphysical, the surreal, the magical, brings him closer to the Bontempelli of the "novecentiste" experiences.
