Fausto Pirandello

(Rome 1899 - there 1975), son of Luigi. He studied sculpture with S. Lipinsky; then from 1923 he dedicated himself to painting. In 1927, having gone to Paris with G. Capogrossi, he studied in particular P. Cezanne and G. Braque (Still life with springs, 1928, Rome, National Gallery of Modern Art). Returning to Italy in 1930, he was in contact with the Roman School and the La Cometa gallery. Interested in aspects of everyday life and solitude, he painted city views, interiors and still lifes without celebratory emphasis.
