Contemporary interest in ceramics, in its many artistic expressions, is spreading with unprecedented breadth. One wonders whether this rediscovery represents a spontaneous resurgence of a material that, more than any other, is intrinsically linked to the history of human civilization. Perhaps, in this fascination with clay, modern man perceives a profound call to his origins. This exhibition arises from the observation of two opposing yet complementary artistic dynamics: From Ceramics to Art: We find artists who, trained in the material and raised in symbiosis with it, cannot conceive of any expression that does not pass through clay. From Art to Ceramics: In parallel, established figures in other fields are emerging who have been unable to resist the urge to experiment with the primary elements (earth, water, air, fire). For them, approaching ceramics becomes a fascinating risk-taking game, a challenge accepted despite the successes already achieved in less unusual experiences. The idea behind this exhibition, intrinsically illustrative and not exhaustive, is based precisely on this dualism: to present the ongoing dialogue that develops "from ceramics to art and from art to ceramics," tracing a path that celebrates the vitality and expressive depth of this ancient/new language.
